Mathew Oommen is the Group CEO of Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), where he orchestrates the strategic evolution of India’s digital landscape through the advancement of next-generation, AI-native infrastructure. A founding member of Reliance Jio, Mr. Oommen has been instrumental in the company’s journey from a greenfield initiative to its current standing as India’s premier provider of 5G, fiber networks, and AI-enabled digital services. With over 500 million customers, Jio is the world’s largest mobile data services provider.

His work is centered on democratizing the digital economy, making affordable broadband connectivity widely accessible, and accelerating India’s digital transformation. He is particularly passionate about enabling inclusive adoption of digital services and advancing the global digital economy.
