Speaker Bio
Katsutoshi Itoh joined Sony in 1999, specializing in wireless communication, error correction, and signal processing. He has driven R&D across these domains while building end-to-end capabilities in hardware, software, and systems. His contributions include international standardization in 3GPP and IEEE 802.11, and participation in regulatory frameworks in Japan. Today, he oversees global research programs in wireless communications, RF sensing, vision sensing, and secure device management. Since 2019, he has served as the inaugural Chair of the Use Case Working Group at the IOWN Global Forum, now in its sixth term, promoting early social implementation of IOWN technologies under the slogans “Vision to Reality” and “Beyond PoC."
