Irish is the Chief Privacy Officer and Vice President of Globe Telecom's Digital Policy Office for AI, Information Security and Data Privacy.
She is a Certified Information Privacy Manager with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and completed the Data: Law, Policy, and Regulation course of the London School of Economics in 2022. She was IAPP's KnowledgeNet Philippines Chapter Chair from 2021-2022 and was a member of the IAPP’s Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board from 2023-2024. She currently serves as a member of the IAPP’s Asia Advisory Board.
Irish was nominated as the National Privacy Commission's (NPC) Data Protection Officer of the Year in 2021 and 2023 while Globe Telecom was nominated as Outstanding Personal Information Controller in 2021. The children's book Globe co-developed with CANVAS entitled "Safe Space: A Kid's Guide to Data Privacy" won the NPC's Outstanding Privacy Initiative Award in 2021.
As a mother of three young children, children’s privacy and online safety are among Irish’s personal advocacies. She participates in Globe’s programs to promote digital literacy and to prevent online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, cyberbullying, fraudulent spam and scam activities, and other unlawful schemes that are rampant in the digital space today.
