André Richter serves as General Manager of VPIphotonics, a leading software provider that supports end-to-end photonic design automation for components, systems, and networks. Having been with the VPIphotonics team since 1997, André has driven numerous innovations across industry research and education, commercialization, and market development. He held management positions for technical services, product management, research & development before being appointed General Manager in 2013. André Richter is an expert with 25+ years of experience in optical communications, photonics, and fiber optics. He received his M.Sc. from the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
