Matt Akins

Speaker Bio

Matt currently works in developer relations accelerating AI startups in the financial services and telco industries. Prior to his work with the startup ecosystem, Matt worked on the Omniverse team as a product owner and lead for NVIDIA’s partnership with Siemens. Matt was originally hired by NVIDIA in 2019 to drive GTM strategy with Linux distro providers and deliver roadmap updates to our OEM hardware partners. Most of Matt’s background is in open source infrastructure holding roles in solution architecture, product management, and business development at firms like Accenture where he supported large MSOs like Comcast and Charter, designing one of the first enterprise grade multi-tenant container-as-a-service private clouds in the world outside of Google. His early career was all focused on the US Federal Government as a consultant / pre-sales engineer at VMware. He holds a bachelor’s science degree in computer science and applied computational physics from Hampden-Sydney College.
