Professor Lam Kwok Yan is Associate Vice President (Strategy and Partnerships) and Professor at the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. A globally recognised cybersecurity researcher and practitioner, he has collaborated extensively with law enforcement agencies, government regulators, telecommunications operators, and financial institutions across the region.
He currently serves as Executive Director of the National Centre for Research in Digital Trust, and Director of NTU's SPIRIT Smart Nation Research Centre and the Strategic Centre for Research in Privacy-Preserving Technologies and Systems (SCRiPTS). He has also served as a consultant to INTERPOL on cyber and emerging technology innovation.
His work spans distributed systems, IoT security, blockchain protocols, biometric cryptography, quantum computing and cyber-physical system security. Professor Lam is also a serial technopreneur and a recipient of the 2022 Singapore Cybersecurity Hall of Fame Award.
