Speaker Bio

Rob Greig is Arup’s Chief Digital Information Officer, responsible for leading Arup’s global digital transformation and overseeing the firms' digital systems, teams, and technologies that enable Arup to operate at scale. He heads the Digital Technology Group, a global team of professionals spanning software development, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, user-centered design, architecture, DevOps, Data, artificial intelligence and product management, ensuring that emerging technologies are deployed ethically and effectively to support Arup’s mission and values.


Rob has championed the establishment of Arup’s client-facing cyber advisory business and is Arup’s global cyber security skills leader. His career spans the public, built environment, and creative sectors. As CTO of the Royal Opera House, he launched World Ballet Day, a global digital celebration of dance. As Director of Parliamentary Digital Services, he introduced open data initiatives and cyber security measures that protected the UK Parliament during the 2017 cyberattack.


He is a lay trustee of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. Rob is known for his inclusive leadership style, commitment to mentoring, and passion for aligning digital innovation with organisational purpose.
