Kate Kallot is a technologist and global AI leader recognized for advancing technology access across Africa and beyond. A TIME100 Impact Award honoree 2025 and one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in AI, as well as a WEF Tech Pioneer, she is the Founder & CEO of Amini, the leading AI startup building sovereign data infrastructure for Africa and the broader Global South.
At Amini, Kate is pioneering AI-ready, locally controlled digital infrastructure that enables nations to own and monetize their data, unlocking new economic growth. Her mission is clear: build the world’s most trusted, AI-ready data infrastructure and ensure billions can participate fully in the digital economy.
Before Amini, her career spanned leadership positions at global tech companies including NVIDIA, where she led global developer relations and expansion into emerging markets, and Arm, where she was a pivotal figure in the Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) movement. At Intel, she led the development of the world’s first AI development kit in a USB form factor, the Neural Compute Stick bringing computer vision and Al to IoT and edge devices to millions for the first time.
Kate serves as Vice Chair of the ICC Global Environmental & Energy Commission and on EY’s Global AI Advisory Council.
