Anton Reynaldo Bonifacio

Speaker Bio

Anton possesses over two decades of experience across the diverse fields of IT and Cybersecurity. He achieved distinction early in his career, becoming one of the first Red Hat Linux Certified Engineers (RHCE) and, in 2006 at the age of 23, the youngest Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in the Philippines. Further recognizing his expertise, he was awarded the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Top Scorer Award for the December 2008 examinations.

Currently, Anton holds the distinctive dual roles of Chief AI Officer (CAIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Globe Telecom, the Philippines' largest telecommunications company by market value. In this capacity, he is tasked with balancing the critical areas of cybersecurity, privacy, and innovation. His responsibilities as CAIO encompass the end-to-end Artificial Intelligence strategy for the telco, including its implementation, engineering, and operationalization to better serve both employees and customers. As CISO, he has been instrumental in building, growing, and continuing to develop one of the world's few converged IT and Network/Telecom Cybersecurity and Privacy teams, while also providing support to Globe's digital portfolio companies and businesses.

Adding to his leadership roles, Anton serves as a board member of G-Xchange, Inc. (GXI). GXI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mynt and manages the mobile wallet operations of GCash, which is the largest cashless ecosystem in the Philippines.
