Amol Phadke joined Telenor in September 2023 as EVP and Group Chief Technology Officer and is a member of Telenor’s Group Leadership Team. He leads the Group Technology organisation at the headquarters in Norway and is responsible for setting Telenor’s overall technology strategy and Research & Innovation ambitions.
Amol is also responsible for the Group Security strategy and is the Chair of Telenor Procurement Company. Prior to joining Telenor, Amol was at Google Cloud and served as the Global GM for the Telecom Industry Vertical. Amol has over two decades of global telecom Industry experience and has worked at Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia) and BT Group in several leadership roles across US, India, Singapore and UK. Amol serves on the Board of TM Forum and has also authored and published a book that offers a unique perspective on the impact of 5G on the future home. Amol has a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the University of Southern California, and a double degree executive MBA from University of California, Los Angeles-National University of Singapore. He was also awarded the C H Wee Gold Medal for overall highest academic achievement in the executive MBA program.
