Session Description
This presentation challenges the illusion of hyperconnectivity by showing how today’s terrestrial networks are fragile and ill-suited for critical missions. Physical failures, natural disasters, or conflicts can isolate essential systems, turning connectivity into a single point of failure. Critical sectors, energy, transport, borders, defense, and emergencies, require resilient, sovereign, and globally available connectivity beyond consumer-focused networks. Europe’s dependence on non-European satellite infrastructure poses strategic risks. Sateliot addresses this gap by providing standards-based 5G NTN connectivity integrated with cellular networks. Through intelligent devices, satellites, and networks powered by AI, Sateliot delivers a dual-use, resilient, and sovereign connectivity layer that acts as strategic backup and smart insurance when everything else fails.
