CENIT, an Innovation Unit of CIMNE

CENIT is the Transport Innovation Unit of the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE). It generates and transfers knowledge in transport, logistics, and mobility through applied research, education, and technology transfer. CENIT specialises in the scientific analysis of real-world challenges affecting transport systems, logistics chains, and mobility. In the ports sector, it advises public authorities, port service operators, and shipping lines on port operations, decarbonisation and digitalisation strategies, and the assessment of emerging technologies. Current projects include the Horizon Europe PIONEERS project and the Observatory on the impact of the EU Emissions Trading System on Spain’s ports.
