Kreios Space is a Spanish deep-tech startup founded in 2021 with the mission to unlock the vast potential of Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) through its breakthrough space propulsion technology. We are pioneering the development of the first Air-Breathing Electric Propulsion (ABEP) system specifically designed for VLEO, a game-changing engine that enables satellites to fly at altitudes from 150 to 300 kilometers by capturing and using atmospheric particles as propellant. By eliminating the need to carry onboard fuel, this approach drastically increases efficiency and overcomes the primary challenge of VLEO: ATMOSPHERIC DRAG.
