Arq Quantum Technologies is a Barcelona-based deep-tech startup developing hardware for the future quantum internet. The company builds on extensive experience in solid-state quantum memories based on rare-earth–doped crystals and in the development of telecom-compatible entangled photon sources. Arq’s goal is to realize highly multiplexed quantum repeater nodes capable of enabling secure quantum communication and distributed quantum computing on a continental scale. By combining expertise in quantum optics, systems engineering, and hardware integration, Arq aims to transform cutting-edge scientific results into scalable technologies deployable in real-world infrastructure.
