HONOR Advances AHI Vision at MWC 2026 with Robot Phone, Magic V6, and more

HONOR Advances AHI Vision at MWC 2026 with Robot Phone, Magic V6, and more

From new form factor innovation to the launch of new flagship devices, HONOR expands its AI device ecosystem and outlines how AI can enhance human potential

At MWC 2026, the global AI device ecosystem company HONOR unveiled significant advancements under its Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) vision, accelerating its ALPHA PLAN through three interconnected pillars: Alpha Phone, Alpha Store, and Alpha Lab.

Building on its long-term commitment to human-centric AI, HONOR offered a preview of Robot Phone, a bold exploration of embodied intelligence and a new species of smartphone that reimagines how future AI devices could integrate motion and spatial awareness.

HONOR also unveiled Magic V6, the pinnacle of its foldable innovation, bringing breakthrough silicon-carbon battery technology, advanced display engineering, and AI-enhanced productivity to the users. Complemented by the debut of new ecosystem devices—the HONOR MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14—these announcements underscore HONOR’s strategic roadmap to seamlessly integrate intelligent hardware and software around genuine human needs, advancing its vision of human-centric AI.

James Li, CEO of HONOR, said: “With Human-centric as our lighthouse, we navigate the growth of AI through the two beams of IQ and EQ, bringing three forms of intelligence together. We are exploring the new paradigm of AI devices with Alpha Phone; hosting the new paradigm of AI ecosystem with Alpha Store; and building the new paradigm of a silicon-carbon civilization with Alpha Lab. With three waves of the Alpha Plan, we now have all the components in place and we are driving this journey at full warp speed.”

HONOR Takes Center Stage at MWC, Illustrating AHI Vision with Robot Phone

On March 4, James Li delivered a forward-looking keynote that outlined how AI can enhance human potential, as HONOR takes the center stage at MWC for the first time.

“We believe the essence of AI must remain human-centric,” said James Li,“Our goal is to give intelligence both IQ and EQ, the power to solve, and the soul to understand. It will help us navigate a fast-changing world, so we can live each moment with joy, love, and wisdom. This is what Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) vision looks like. This is what we believe at HONOR.”

HONOR's Robot Phone is the best showcase of HONOR's AHI vision, which places humanity at the center of the AI revolution, advocating for technology that seeks to enhance, not replace, human potential and creativity.

Robot Phone is a new species of smartphone, combining embodied AI interaction with robot-grade motion and cinematic imaging capabilities. Rather than reacting solely through screens and voice commands, HONOR is, figuratively, giving its next generation of devices not only a brain, but also hands and feet, combining AI with more physical, expressive interaction through motion and camera movement.

Packing a robot into a smartphone required rethinking space, strength, and weight at a microscopic level, HONOR Robot Phone features a self-developed micro motor designed for extreme compactness and strength. By significantly reducing motor size, HONOR was able to fit an ultra-compact 4DoF gimbal system into the phone, creating the hardware foundation for robot-grade embodied motion control.

Two executives shaking hands on a keynote stage beneath a large screen announcing a strategic technical collaboration between HONOR and ARRI, with product visuals on either side.

To bring cinematic standards and professional workflows into mobile imaging, HONOR and ARRI announced strategic technical collaboration, which reflects a shared ambition to unlock new creative possibilities, enabling creators to craft stories with greater authenticity and emotional depth. The first results of this collaboration will debut in the upcoming HONOR Robot Phone later this year.

HONOR Received a GLOMO Award for Battery Technology, While Magic V6 Sets Benchmark for Foldable Phones

At MWC 2026, HONOR was awarded the "Best Disruptive Device Innovation" for the implementation and commercialisation of silicon carbon battery technology by Global Mobile (GLOMO).

This innovation empowers HONOR Magic V6 to achieve an industry-first silicon content of 25%. Made possible by partnering with ATL, Magic V6 gets HONOR’s fifth-generation silicon-carbon material, addressing the challenge of balancing slimness and high energy density. The result is a 6,660mAh battery housed in one of the thinnest foldables on the market, redefining expectations for endurance in the category without compromising design.

At MWC 2026, HONOR also demonstrated next-generation battery innovation with the all-new HONOR Silicon-carbon Blade Battery, featuring 32% silicon content and 985 Wh/L. Designed to enable foldables to enter the 7000mAh era, it signals a further leap in ultra-thin, ultra-high energy battery technology.

Beyond the powerful endurance, Magic V6 is engineered for long-term reliability, combining an ultra-thin 8.75mm1 closed profile with reinforced structural integrity and advanced hinge architecture. The device is rated IP68 and IP692 for water and dust resistance, reinforcing its resilience in everyday environments.

Extending its AI-powered portfolio beyond smartphones, HONOR also introduced MagicPad 4 and MagicBook Pro 14 to its flagship ecosystem, unveiled its first humanoid robot, signaling a broader strategic move to leverage its expertise in mobile technology to create consumer-grade robots at MWC 2026.

HONOR earned widespread recognition from leading media outlets, winning over 70 media awards across its Augmented Human Intelligence vision, robotics innovation, flagship foldables and expanding AI device ecosystem.

HONOR Calls for Open Collaboration via the AI Connect Platform

HONOR’s ALPHA PLAN marks the transformation from a smartphone maker to a global leading AI device ecosystem company, which calls on the industry to co-create an open, value-sharing ecosystem.

The Connect AI panel reinforced the company’s commitment to work collaboratively with global partners. During the panel discussion on March 2, Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, was joined by Philippe Lucas, Orange Innovation Executive Vice President Partnerships, Content and Devices, for an insightful conversation about the convergence of AI, devices and connectivity.

HONOR unveiled its strategy to execute an open device ecosystem via the HONOR AI Connect Platform, which is projected to integrate more than 20,000 AI services by the end of 2026:“At HONOR, we believe 'walled gardens' should be a thing of the past,” said Fang Fei.

Centered around the theme of “breaking walls,” HONOR underlined its commitment to working collaboratively with partners like Orange to expand into new hardware categories including education, smart home, audio products, pets, and toys.

From embodied AI exploration to flagship foldable engineering and AI-powered productivity, each announcement reflects deeper integration of intelligence across hardware and software, demonstrating how HONOR is extending AHI across both digital and physical experiences.

During his keynote on the center stage at MWC 2026, James Li also issued an open invitation for collaboration across the industry to create an AI device ecosystem. "We aspire to be a cool company, teaming up with the coolest minds. Together, for a cool future of AI!" he said.
