Tareq Alangari is a seasoned technology executive and board leader with over 25 years of experience spanning technology, telecommunications, infrastructure, consumer services, and digital platforms across regional and international markets.
In his executive capacity, Mr. Alangari serves as President of Lenovo META and Group Senior Vice President at Lenovo, with responsibility for operations across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Pakistan. His remit includes driving sustainable growth, advancing localization strategies, scaling manufacturing capabilities, and strengthening enterprise and infrastructure platforms across the region.
Prior to joining Lenovo, Mr. Alangari spent nearly nine years with e& Group, where he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of e& Enterprise Saudi Arabia. In this role, he established and scaled the business from inception into a leading digital transformation platform, delivering integrated solutions across cloud services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, customer experience, fintech, Internet of Things, and managed services. He worked closely with government entities and large enterprises to deliver national-scale initiatives with measurable economic and operational impact.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Mr. Alangari brings extensive board experience, with a focus on governance, transformation, and long-term value creation. He has served on multiple boards and executive committees across diverse sectors, including as a board and executive committee member of Leejam Sports Company during the turnaround and expansion of the Fitness Time brand. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Audit Committee Chair of Tabuk Cement Company, and as a board and Investment Committee member of AlUla Sports Club. His board expertise spans governance, risk, capital allocation, and strategic growth.
Mr. Alangari is also a long-standing board member of the IE Center for Leadership and Innovation in the Middle East, where he has contributed for more than a decade to the development of executive leadership capabilities across both the public and private sectors.
He holds an MBA from IE Business School and a master’s degree from INSEAD. He is a Chartered Director and holds a charter from the Institute of Directors.
