Speaker Bio

Amit Midha is the Chief Executive Officer of Alat, a Public Investment Fund–owned company established to advance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s industrial transformation and digital future. In this role, he leads Alat’s mandate to develop globally competitive capabilities in electronics and advanced industrial manufacturing, positioning Saudi Arabia as a world-class manufacturing and innovation hub.

Since joining Alat in February 2023, Mr. Midha has been instrumental in shaping large-scale industrial partnerships and advancing the Kingdom’s ambitions to attract global manufacturing, technology, and innovation leaders. His work focuses on building long-term industrial platforms, enabling technology transfer, and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s role within global value chains.

Prior to Alat, Mr. Midha spent more than a decade at Dell Technologies, where he held senior executive leadership roles across Asia Pacific and Japan, overseeing a multi-billion-dollar business spanning more than 40 countries. He most recently served as President, Asia Pacific and Japan, and as Executive Vice President, Global Digital Cities, leading digital transformation initiatives for public-sector entities worldwide.

Mr. Midha’s leadership has been widely recognized. He received the Chinese Magnolia Gold Award in 2013 for his contribution to the development of the city of Shanghai. He was also honored as People’s Choice CEO of the Year by CNBC China Business Leader Awards and named CEO of the Year in Information Technology by Bloomberg in 2010.

In August 2025, Mr. Midha was appointed Non-Executive Director of Lenovo Group Limited, joining the company’s globally diverse board of directors. His appointment reflects his extensive global leadership experience and his role in advancing strategic industrial and technology partnerships across international markets.

Mr. Midha holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia, United States, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India.
