Vicente Echandía is CEO of Econova, Ecopetrol’s international innovation hub, where he leads the development of strategic partnerships and investment-driven innovation initiatives to accelerate the energy transition, technology adoption, and new business models.

He has over 20 years of experience working with governments, multilateral institutions, and multinational companies to navigate complex regulatory environments and unlock growth opportunities across Latin America, the United States, and Europe.

His background includes senior leadership roles within the Colombian government, advisory work with the World Bank, and diplomatic postings in the United Kingdom, United States, and Brazil. He also contributes periodically to leading regional and international media on economic and policy issues.
