Speaker Bio

Miriam Longo is the Coordinator of Data, Technology and Products within the Crimes Against Children Unit at INTERPOL, where she leads global efforts to leverage technology and innovation to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of children in the digital environment. A central focus of her work is the coordination and development of artificial intelligence–driven tools designed to investigate and disrupt technology-facilitated crimes against children at scale.


She has extensive experience in complex investigations related to online child exploitation and abuse, with a strong emphasis on international cooperation, cross-border data sharing, and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and global partners. Her role bridges operational policing with advanced technological solutions, ensuring that emerging technologies are applied responsibly, effectively, and in support of victim protection.


Holding degrees in Psychology and Law, Miriam brings a multidisciplinary and victim-centered perspective to the design and deployment of investigative technologies. Prior to joining INTERPOL, she served for 20 years as an agent with the Brazilian Federal Police, building a solid career in criminal investigations, police intelligence, and international cooperation.


Her professional trajectory is defined by a strong commitment to child protection, responsible use of technology and the strengthening of global collaboration to address online crimes against children.
