Session Description

Quantum technologies are intended to make a revolution in terms of computing, security and precision measurement, with major impact and implication on the Telco Industry. That is why it is a requirement to understand the maturity, implementation timelines and scalability of quantum computing, sensing and communication technologies for the Telco Ecosystem. Some examples are: Quantum computing, Quantum sensing, Quantum clock, Quantum Random Generation Number, Quantum Communications.
Central to our discussions will be to understand the strategies of the key Quantum technology use cases for the Telco industry. These
strategic considerations will be discussed via use cases and case studies from telco operators and quantum technology providers.
Additionally, we would like to understand some of the key challenges of the adoption of the quantum technologies in the telco world such as: the standard evolution, the financial impact for installing and operating quantum technologies in our networks, the physical environment as some of the quantum technologies are sensible to temperatures changes and there are certain distance limitations that needs to be considered.
The objective of this seminar is to define a guidance to the telco industry to define strategic planning and to establish the collaboration with industry and regulatory bodies to make real the potential of the Quantum Technology in the Telco Industry. Hearing from leading organisations, participants will learn how and what key ecosystem players are doing to drive forward the Quantum Technologies of the telco industry.
