Antony Herrmann leads the Technology and Innovation Unit at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The unit works to end extreme poverty, tackle global challenges and keep FCDO relevant in a rapidly changing world by researching, testing and scaling technologies and innovations through diverse global programmes and partnerships. Prior to his current role, Mr Herrmann worked as an adviser on innovation and strategy at the UK Department for International Development, leading strategic projects focused on prioritisation, foresight, technology and innovation. Mr Herrmann has worked on international cooperation for the UK government for over a decade, including roles on UN peacekeeping and South Asia policy at the Ministry of Defence, and on EU external relations at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office
