Norman has 30 years of experience advising major Telecom, Internet, Technology & Media companies through major transformational programs including strategic new product revenue growth and substantial cost reduction. In addition, Norman has assisted innovative start-ups looking to scale their businesses and disrupt mature industries/markets. Currently, Norman is the founder of fonbnk which is a blockchain based company that tokenizes mobile airtime enabling a new global remittance capability for mobile operators while also enabling an eBay like marketplace for the purchasing/selling and exchanging of mobile airtime globally for consumers.
Between 2012 – 2017, Norman held several board positions at emerging innovative companies including Apcela, Connectem, Matrixx and Lemko – all focused on driving innovation into the Telecommunications Industry. At Lemko, Norman served as both a board director/investor along with the management position of Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer. Lemko’s focus was to bring an innovative distributed NFV/SDN solution to invert the LTE cost structures to be aligned with Wi-Fi (unlicensed spectrum) focusing on CBRS (shared spectrum).
Prior to these roles, Norman was a Vice President & Partner at IBM’s Global Business Services responsible for Smarter Networks initiatives where he lead engagements addressing strategy, organization and operations.
From 1990 – 2009, Norman contributed significantly to the growth of Andersen Consulting and eventually as a Partner in Accenture’s Communications, Media & High-Tech Industry Group where he held significant client partner positions along with being responsible for the Telecom Network Solutions group ~ a $200m business.
Mr. Fekrat has a unique perspective on how to tackle many of the most difficult strategic business issues. He has led engagements addressing strategy, organization and operations at both large corporate and start-up organizations. Mr. Fekrat has lent his expertise to new business plans, growth, product development, cost improvement and operations across devices, network, IT, sales and support.
