Lluís Juncà is the General Director of Economic Promotion, Competition and Regulation at the Government of Catalonia, where he works for the growth and competitiveness of the Catalan economy by promoting strategic and transversal projects between institutions, managing the funds and investment projects and promoting market regulations that favor economic development and competition.
He studied Telecommunication Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2000-2006). He then took a Master’s Degree in Political Science at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He also took an MBA (Master of Business Administration) at ESADE Business & Law School (2012-2014) and, in 2017, participated in the Vicens Vives Leadership, Commitment and Values Program at ESADE Business & Law School.
Regarding his professional career, he was a consultant at Everis (2006-2007) and Deloitte (2007-2009) in the department of Enterprise Risk Services (ERS). Afterwards, he worked as a political advisor to Oriol Junqueras, member of the European Parliament (2009-2012) in the European Parliament. He was also the Chief of Staff to the the Opposition Leader in the Parliament of Catalonia (2012-2016) and was the Director of the Office of the Vice President and Minister of Economy of the Generalitat of Catalonia (2016-2017).
