Laura leads Access Partnership’s data policy and trust team, and helps manage the diverse international public policy group across four continents.
This group provides consultancy and advocacy services to some of the world’s largest companies across the full range of data issues affecting global corporations, including intellectual property, data privacy, security, Internet governance, and network regulation. Laura herself specialises in trade, intellectual property, privacy, and security.
For over ten years, Laura was president of Sallstrom Consulting until its purchase by Access Partnership. Prior to that, Laura was Director of the Business Software Alliance (Asia Pacific), based in Singapore, and also served as that organisation’s global trade manager in Washington DC. Prior to that, Laura was in public service in the Office of US Trade Representative (USTR) where she assisted in the negotiation of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) and supported the Special 301 process.
