JP Lee, VP of Infra R&D Center, is currently leading The Access Network Technology R&D Group at KT, the largest telecom in South Korea. He has over 17 years of experience in various fields including network security, IT planning, global consulting and network R&D since he joined the company in 2003.
JP has contributed to creating the world’s largest and unparalleled 1 Giga broadband access service market in South Korea since 2014. The market has attracted over 10 million 1 Giga broadband access subscribers in 2019 already. He has also pioneered the world’s first commercialization of cutting-edge technologies such as 10 Giga wired and WiFi broadband access services, GiGA Wire, and award-winning Dr. Lauren which is a self-learning AI expert system capable of identifying root cause of complex network failures. He is leading efforts in transforming KT as a competent AI company with unique and competitive advantages in mobile and wireline network experiences and data.
JP received his M.S. in electrical engineering from KAIST and MBA dual concentration in marketing and finance from UNC at Chapel Hill.
