Description

Born in the City of Buenos Aires, on May 4, 1960. Civil Engineer, expert in Communication graduated from the National University of Buenos Aires.
In 2015 was appointed Head of the Federal System of Public and Media Contents of Argentina.
On the occasion of the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires 2018, he held the position of Coordinator of the Technical Unit G20.
During 2017 he led and was in charge of Expo 2023 Argentina Buenos Aires “Creative industries in the Digital Convergence” nomination, finally chosen by the BIE General Assembly on November 15, 2017.
Between 2007 and 2015 he served as Minister of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and President of the Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires. During his administration UNESCO declared Tango and Filete Porteño as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and the City of Buenos Aires as the World Book Capital. He collaborated in the reopening of the Teatro Colón and the opening of the Usina del Arte, created the Polo Circo cultural cluster and the Polo Bandoneón
In 2012 he was awarded the “Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur”, Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor by the French government. In 2013 he was decorated “Ufficiale OMRI”, Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. In July 2016, he was awarded the Decoration of the Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle, in degree of Plate by the President of the United States of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto.
