Mr. Heng Qiu is President of Global Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer for the Enterprise Business Group (BG) at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Mr. Qiu leads global marketing and brand programs, strategy and demand generation across traditional and digital channels for the global Enterprise Business portfolio of solutions and product offerings.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Qiu was President of Wireless Marketing Operations, overseeing the expansion of Huawei’s USD 20 billion wireless infrastructure business, a key growth driver for the company. In this role, Mr. Qiu was responsible for implementing successful 4.5G and NB-IoT marketing programs, accelerating Huawei’s leadership position in the global wireless infrastructure industry. Mr. Qiu also used his deep customer-centric marketing and leadership experience to develop a unique “industrial marketing” approach which helped increase the company’s market share.

Mr. Qiu has held several other key leadership positions within Huawei since he joined the company in 2005. He was previously Vice President of the TD-LTE Product Line where he led the global commercial deployment of TD-LTE technology, one of the two major 4G technologies. Before that, Mr. Qiu was one of the core contributors to Huawei in Japan sales growth from 0 to 1.3 billion U.S. dollars per year as Vice President of TDD Networks, and Director of the KDDI Business Unit of Huawei’s Japan Representative Office. As General Manager of the Wireless Product Department, Mr. Qiu managed the marketing and sales of UMTS, CDMA, WiMAX radio access networks in Japan.
Mr. Qiu began his career at NTT Docomo in 2002, where he focused on 4G research and development. In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Qiu received the Outstanding Paper Prize from the Japan-China Industry Association in 2004.

Mr. Qiu holds a Bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and a Master’s degree from the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering at Kyoto University.
