The Accenture Virtual Experience Solution (AVEnueS) is a first-of-its-kind use of virtual reality in the human services sector. This simple, yet highly sophisticated technology solution accelerates the development of caseworkers into seasoned decision-makers in a sector where there is no room to get it wrong. AVEnueS requires only a wireless Oculus GO headset, a downloadable app and Wi-Fi to provide users with immersive storytelling and interactive voice-based scenarios. The experience focuses on the user interviewing members of a family to determine whether a child is safe to be in the home. There are 34 points of enquiry and at each point, three questions from which the user might select. Because different types of questions elicit different emotional responses and information, these options educate the user on effective ways to capture accurate, relevant information. There are 16 quadrillion potential pathways, ensuring that no two users have the same experience.
“Particularly polished design that prevented information from saturating the immersive display and allowing users to focus on the 360 content. The scope and function of the platform was clear and well-defined of all the entries, able to achieve exactly what it set out to do.”
