Wireless Power Consortium

Information

Established in 2008, the Wireless Power Consortium is an open, collaborative standards development group of 370+ company members. WPC’s members include iconic brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Philips, LG, Microsoft, Xiaomi, Panasonic, IKEA and many others. These companies, from all parts of the industry and the globe, collaborate for a single purpose: to design and evolve the world’s most useful, safe and efficient standards for wireless power.

WPC's standards include Qi, the leading global standard for wireless charging of mobile and handheld devices. A second standard in development, Ki, will deliver wireless power for kitchens and will revolutionize food preparation and cooking. Additional standards are planned to enable wireless charging for Light Electronic Vehicles and Industrial applications.
