For 25 years the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has been leading the global ecosystem facilitating interoperable devices, networks, and services, enabling reliable and secure wireless communications. GCF’s solutions cover 5G NR, LTE, Cellular IoT (NB-IoT and eMTC), eSIM and legacy technologies. Many device types can be certified through GCF processes to ensure seamless connectivity, including smartphones, wearables, modems, modules, mobile routers, and devices for IoT, automotive and mission critical use cases.
Key focus areas for GCF in 2024 will include 5G mobile, 3GPP NTN satellite access and IoT device certification, device security, automotive applications and Mission Critical Services.
