However, while you are here we suggest you take the same common sense precautions you would when visiting any major city:

Be discreet Do not display large amounts of cash; carry only as much as you need.
Be alert Keep your personal belongings with you, both inside and outside the venue.
Be aware Be vigilant in crowds, restaurants and on public transportation; watch out for people creating distractions and diversions.
Be prepared When walking around the city, know how to get to your destination in advance so you appear confident in where you are going.

In the Event of a Security Incident in the City

Call: +34 900 77 2021 This is a free 24-hour Security telephone number for assistance, operational from 26 June to 1 July 2021. This number appears in the MWC App, and at several locations throughout the venue.
Visit the Police Station The Police station is inside the venue in the South Entrance building. Here you may seek help, report incidents, and retrieve lost items.

Reporting incidents helps the city to fight petty crime

For your convenience, we have teams of motorcycles available to travel wherever you are and offer personal assistance by accompanying you to the nearest police station, completing any paperwork needed to report an incident, replacing your documentation, and cancelling your credit cards.
