Delivering a new world

As the CEO of the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud computing operation, Adam knows a thing or two about growth. Having helped to quadruple the value of visual data platform Tableau (which led to one of the largest software acquisitions in history by Salesforce), Adam took over AWS from Amazon CEO Andy Jassy in July 2021. As Jassy detailed in Selipsky’s appointment notice, “With a $51bn revenue run rate that’s growing 28% YoY, it’s easy to forget that AWS is still in the very early stages of what’s possible. Less than 5% of the global IT spend is in the cloud at this point. That’s going to substantially change in the coming years.”

This is part of our culture, part of our DNA and, by the way, a major part of our success,” Shuky says, “so continuing to innovate now and in the future, in my mind, is part of the strategy of the company because this is the only way to be successful.” His focus is on delivering business value for Amdocs customers by accelerating their transition to the cloud, driving service providers’ modernisation in the 5G era, and providing end users with next-generation communication and media experiences.
