Thorsten Rall is the Global Head of Digital Transformation & Innovation. In this role, he and his teams are responsible for digital functional leadership, coordinating digital strategy, partnership and ecosystem management in the data and digital space. Thorsten is also in charge of driving a portfolio of disruptive innovation initiatives as well as enterprise innovation management to significantly accelerate and scale innovation across the enterprise. His remit also includes developing and further evolving the digital community of internal and external partners at Novartis.  In his previous role he was the Global Head of Digital Strategy and Program Operations at Novartis where he was responsible for defining strategic digital priority areas for Novartis globally and working with the organization in implementing those at scale to meaningfully impact Novartis’s business objectives in innovation, commercial, and operations.  Thorsten joined Novartis in 2015 as Director Corporate Strategy where he was responsible for leading group-wide strategic projects primarily in the innovation space. Prior to that, he was a Junior Partner with McKinsey & Company where he served clients in the Pharma and Healthcare space on a broad range of topics, including innovation, digital and productivity.  Thorsten holds a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from University of Karlsruhe in Germany and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, U.S.
