Speaker Bio

Sung-bae Jun, president of IITP, graduated from Yonsei University and started working at the Ministry of Postal Service in 1991. With his outstanding drive, he has held important posts in public offices for 30 years, including the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Korea Communications Commission, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and the Ministry of Science and ICT. He is an expert in information and communication technology who served as the director of radio policy and spokesperson at the former Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and as the deputy minister of planning&coordination after the launch of the Ministry of Science and ICT. He was appointed as the head of the Institute of Information&Communications Technology Planning&Evaluation in January 2021, and is leading ICT R&D in Korea with the network and experience in the ICT field over the past 30 years.
