Sam Kamela is long time advertising technology leader for AT&T DIRECTV and AT&T TV platforms specializing in addressable and dynamic ad insertion for satellite broadcast as well as OTT streaming. Sam was part of core team that implemented localized DMA ad insertion into 85 biggest US metropolitan areas which allowed DIRECTV to grow advertising footprint from local advertisers while generating several billions of dollars in revenue over past 5 years. This technology have been awarded Technology & Engineering Ammy Award in 2021. On OTT side Sam lead architecture and implementation of Dynamic Ad Insertion for AT&T TV which currently generates more than billion of impressions per month while supporting monetization of high profile events such as NFL Monday Football or NBAplayoffs. Recently Sam have been leading Data Platform for AT&T DIRECTV as well AT&T TV including implementation of Kinesis-based data analytics that provides real-time video quality view for AT&T TV subscribers.
