Raquel García Pérez is the Planning, Technology, Optimization wireless manager in the global CTIO unit in Telefonica. She graduated as Telecom Engineer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, developing the Master Thesis at the Polytechnic University of Harburg-Hamburg (Germany). She joined Telefónica I + D working as a researcher in 1998, and was involved in planning, self-organized networks (SON), and innovation projects for RAN access networks. Since 2012, she works in global CTIO access team. Currently, she is responsible for RAN strategic planning, definition of radio evolution strategy, RAN technological prospection, RAN optimization and automation, working closed together with the different Telefonica units in the Group with special focus in 5G.
