FU Qiang was born in January 1966. He is the Chief Network Technology Officer (CNTO) and member of Science and Technology Committee of China Unicom. He works as the General Manager of Network Department.
FU Qiang got his bachelor’s degree in physics from Southwest University in 1988, and the master’s degree in optics from South China Normal University in 1999.
FU Qiang joined China Unicom in 1999. From 2011 to 2015, he was Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Guangdong Branch. From 2015 to 2017, he was the Chairman of China Information Technology Designing & Consulting Institute (CITC). He was also dean of China Unicom Network Technology Research Institute and CEO of China Unicom Telecommunication Construction Corporation. From 2016 to 2020, he served as General Manager of Network O&M Department and Network Expansion Department. He was also the General Manager of Network Innovation Center and 5G Network Sharing Group. Since 2020, he served as General Manager of Network Department.
He has won Science and Technology Awards of China Institute of Communications and of Guangdong Province for several times. He has also achieved 6 patents, including 1 international patent.
