Pipo Serrano is a journalist (Radio, Television and Digital Journalism), who has led strategies and digital transformations in large newsrooms and media outlets, incorporating them in new narratives and digital coverage.

Recognized by the "European Digital Mindset Awards 2018" (he won the award for "Best Journalistic Work on Digital Transformation") he has incorporated his dynamic experience to projects with numerous companies in different areas. With a holistic vision of communication, he also leads it from a more strategic sphere, from tackling new challenges related to innovation, to redefining teams and processes, business growth and new business opportunities.

After many years directing and deputy directing numerous radio and television spaces, lately, Pipo’s media presence is linked to his extensive knowledge of the digital world. He currently interviews innovators, CEOs of technology companies and startup founders on a weekly basis on Cadena SER radio. He has spoken about digital matters at various conferences, in addition to presenting and moderating reputable sessions at the MWC (mWeek, DFS, Congress Talks, BDT, mLunch), MojoCon, and Smart City World Expo, to name a few.

Passionate, loyal and curious. Pipo is constantly evaluating and reflecting on projects and processes, acting as a facilitator. What’s more, he has extensive team management skills, having managed projects of up to 50 professionals.

Author of 2 books on digital transformation and Mobile Journalism, at an academic level, he is also a professor, teaching "Digital Journalism" to "Master’s in Journalism Bcn_Ny” students at the University of Barcelona and the Columbia School of Journalism. Moreover, he is an associate professor at the University of New Haven, where he teaches digital journalism to North American students in Barcelona.

Lastly, Pipo Serrano is member of the Advisory Board of the "ESADE Forum for Technological Humanism", and member of the Governing Board of the Association of Journalists of Catalonia.
