Speaker Bio
Pepita Marín, born in 1987 in Madrid, studied international business at ICADE and CESEM (France). She received the 2020 Princess of Girona Award in the Business category and is an Endeavor Entrepreneur. Pepita is very engaged in promoting female entrepreneurship and in closing the socio-economic gap when it comes to starting a business. She is also an independent director at PRISA.
After working in a multinational auditing firm, when she was only 23, Marín founded We Are Knitters in 2011, together with Alberto Bravo, her former colleague at PwC, with a €10,000 investment. The company currently has 30 employees and a turnover of more than 18 million euros, 95% of which comes from outside Spain (USA, France, Germany, etc.), in a niche sector such as knitting.
We Are Knitters aims to take forgotten traditions such as knitting to new generations through product, image and communication. It is a fully digital company.
