(Bilbao, 1973) Pedro Carrascal is the Director of Multiple Sclerosis Spain-EME, a job that he also combines with the leadership of the Bizkaia Association of Multiple Sclerosis and the Euskadi Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
He has a Law degree from the University of Deusto in 1996 and a Master in Business Administration and Management (MBA) from the University of the Basque Country in 2004.
He has been linked to the movement of people with MS since he was 8 years old and her mother was diagnosed with this disease, at which time she, together with other people, created the Bizkaia Association.
Since 2007 Pedro is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of MS (MSIF). In September 2012 he became part of the Executive Committee of the EMSP (European MS Platform), he was vice president in 2017 and he has been president since June 2018.
He is also fully committed to the Spanish patient movement, being one of the promoters of the Spanish "Neuroalianza" created in 2012 and the Platform of Patient Organizations in 2014. Advocacy for patients, management and social innovation are some of his skills.
