Speaker Bio

Paloma Castellano has been linked to Wayra since its inception and helped launch Wayra in 2011. Computer Engineer by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid as well as Executive MBA at IE, Paloma started her professional career at Microsoft and later joined Terra as Project Manager. After her time at Terra, she joined Telefónica as a TV Product Owner.
After several years launching and managing innovative products such as mobile TV, she moved to Telefónica China where she worked with the CEO of CNC Labs in the design and implementation of the company's strategic plan. Back in Spain, he was in charge of developing the mobile broadband business.
In 2011 she joined Wayra to help with the global launch as part of the founding team. Paloma has invested in more than 100 startups, such as Voicemod, Countercraft, Smart Protection, Idoven, Brandtrack, Sceenic, Crossmint, or Indya among others. Also, help them develop business with Telefónica value in 200 Million euros.
