Mr. Follett has served in a variety of technical, marketing and product leadership positions during his 25-year career at HPE. This includes as an Engineering Scientist for system performance products, an R&D lab manager for a globally distributed software organization and serving as a product line director with P&L responsibility for a multi-million dollar portfolio.
His current team has multi-facet responsibilities including the strategy, content, and execution of customer facing technology experiences globally plus driving the HPE space program which is focused on the emerging space economy. This includes HPE’s Spaceborne Computer project which features the first commercial, and most powerful computer to be deployed in space. Currently in orbit aboard the ISS, this award-winning multi-year mission is not just the ultimate example of edge computing, but has also become a catalyst for a focused space technology discipline within HPE with Norm leading the effort.
A computer scientist by trade, prior to joining HPE he worked on multiple software development projects in the public sector for organizations such as the USAF and the California Association of Highway Patrol.
