Naji Khoury is an industry leader with over 25 years of experience in the telecommunication market. His expertise spans the residential, business and wholesale wireless, wireline, Internet and television industries. Naji first joined Liberty in 2010 as the company’s general manager and was appointed president and CEO of Liberty Puerto Rico in 2012.
In his role, he is responsible for the overall performance of the company including oversight of strategic planning, technology evaluation, product development and implementation, sales, operations, and customer service. During his first 2 years, he reorganized the company’s operations to align with a renewed long-term strategy. This effort led to the simplification of pricing plans and enabled customers to build a package that best fits their needs. Naji also played a critical role in the successful consolidation of the three cable operators of the island and in driving the company’s investment in its networks to deliver higher internet speeds and improve service reliability. Most recently, Naji has been responsible for the integration of the wireless and wireline operations acquired by the company from AT&T in November 2020.
Prior to Liberty Puerto Rico, Naji spent a decade holding several top positions at Centennial Communications, a very successful wireline and wireless operator sold to AT&T in 2009. He started as its director of marketing, advertising and product development in 2000, rising to senior vice president of Marketing, Business Development and Customer Service. Naji earned an MBA degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1992 and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University in 1989.
In addition to his role at LCPR, Naji is the president of the philanthropic arm of the company, Liberty Foundation, founded in 2017. He is also a board member of the Colegio de Educación Especial y Rehabilitación Integral (CODERI); as well as member and founder of the Internet Society Puerto Rico Chapter (ISOC PR), member of the Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico, and the president of the Board of Directors of the San Juan Children’s Choir.
