As Global Entrepreneurship Director at Telefonica, he leads the Company´s efforts to develop digital-technological talent and entrepreneurship.
He is responsible for leading the new stage in Telefónica's open innovation strategy through Wayra Open Innovation Hubs in 7 countries and 50 Open Future_ partnerships around the globe. As the most global, connected and tech-driven open innovation initiative, Wayra is committed to seeking out and developing technological solutions to complement internal R&D while creating an improved connection with key entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Previously as COO at CARTO, an enterprise SaaS location intelligence platform, he led the sales, financial, and operational efforts from its Madrid, NY, DC and London offices, directing the company's growth and scaling-up. CARTO raised over $40M by lead investors like Accel Venture Partners, Salesforce Ventures and Kibo Ventures.
In his pursuit to enhance the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem, he co-founded Chamberi Valley, the main Madrid-based networking initiative for scale ups.
