Speaker Bio

Microsoft Responsibilities – Lund leads Azure for Operators, including sales, engineering, and product management functions. Azure for Operators is focused on developing voice network infrastructure products, unified communications and collaboration services and 5G/edge networking solutions for network operators.

Pre-Microsoft Work Experience – Martin Lund was CEO at Metaswitch (acquired by Microsoft in July 2020).  Prior to that, he served as SVP&GM of the IP Group at Cadence Design Systems, where he led a 10x growth in business segment revenue over a three-year period. Before Cadence, Lund was SVP&GM of Broadcom’s Network Switching Business, growing the unit from inception to more than a billion dollars in annual revenue during his 12 years tenure. Prior to Broadcom, Lund held various management roles at Intel Corporation and is named as inventor on more than 20 US patents.

Education – Earned a degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Copenhagen Technical College in Denmark and attended executive education programs at IMD in Switzerland.
