Speaker Bio
Kimberley Trommler is the Head of Thinknet 6G at Bayern Innovativ, a think tank and network community for 6G stakeholders in Bavaria, in the rest of Germany and in the rest of the world.
Kimberley studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Waterloo, Canada, and completed two Bachelor degrees as well as a Master of Mathematics in AI (computational linguistics). She has over 25 years’ experience in the field of computer science, with an emphasis on enterprise data networking, including positions as data center architect and network architect at companies such as OpenText and BMW.
She joined Bayern Innovativ in 2017, initially with a focus on digitalization in the automotive industry. In 2020 she became a group manager in the Technology division, and in 2021 she added the role of Head of Thinknet 6G. As Head of Thinknet 6G she manages an dynamic community of 6G stakeholders from both industry and research, authors white papers about diverse aspects of 6G, and chairs the annual Thinknet 6G Summit.
