Keith O’Brien serves as the Chief Technology Officer for the Service Provider line of business at Palo Alto Networks and has over 25 years of leadership experience in the cyber security industry. His specialties include secure network design and architecture, application security, devsecops and service provider security.Keith previously held the position of Distinguished Security Architect at Cisco where he consulted with various customers in the Federal, Enterprise and Service Providers spaces.Keith is also an adjunct professor of Computer Science at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering where he teaches graduate students and Phd candidates network security. In addition, Keith has served as a Visiting Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. He served in an appointed position on the Board of Directors for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Infragard NYC chapter along with serving in the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task ForceHe holds a bachelors of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College and a Masters of Science in Telecommunications Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. He holds CCIE, CISSP and SANS GCIH certifications.
