Iker Marcaide is an impact entrepreneur and impact investor.

In 2009 he founded Flywire (previously known as peerTransfer) between Spain and USA and ran it as CEO until Dec 2013 creating the global leader in international education payments. Flywire has been the first company with Spanish origins to be listed on Nasdaq (May 2021,

$3.5bn market cap)

In 2014 he founded Zubi Labs, an impact company builder and impact asset management group based in Valencia, Spain. At Zubi Labs he works on solving social and environmental challenges such as climate change, creating a circular economy or alleviating poverty, mobilizing talent and co-investors to create companies and investment funds.


Zubi Labs includes projects such as Imagine Montessori School (personalized education), Barrio La Pinada (eco-district), CoCircular (circular economy for the construction industry), Zubi Capital (the first European impact venture debt fund), and a handful of other impact initiatives.

Iker is an MIT Sloan MBA and MIT School of Engineering MS, and Industrial Engineer from the UPV. He started his professional career as a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
