Fábio Salustino Mesquita de Faria is a businessman and a representative in Congress from the state of Rio Grande do Norte for the fourth time in a row, since 2007. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from University Potiguar.
In the Chamber of Deputies, he has been twice elected for its executive board. He is acknowledged as a skillful political negotiator and has shown strong leadership features.
He was appointed Minister of Communications in June 2020 and has since then been fully committed to expanding connectivity to Brazilians, particularly those in remote areas of the North and Northeast. Improving broadcasting and universalizing postal services are among his duties. He is also in charge of Institutional Communication in the Brazilian Government.
