Giuseppe Auricchio is Executive Director at Grupo Proeduca, a leader in online higher education in the Spanish-speaking world, with over 50K students in more than 90 countries. Giuseppe is part of the leadership team of ProInnova, the company´s corporate incubator. As an independent division, ProInnova is tasked with exploring new business opportunities and supporting them from concept development to a fully functioning business.
At ProInnova, Giuseppe both participates in the evaluation of new ventures as well as leads the teams responsible for some of these. Over the past two years, Giuseppe has been involved in several initiatives. Giuseppe has led to scale an executive development solution, consisting of online executive masters for functional directors and a lifelong learning community for middle managers. Giuseppe is currently involved in the conception of a business model for pairing aspiring tech talent with training and top employers, and the launch of a new university tailored to careers in the music industry.
Prior to his current role, Giuseppe was Executive Director of the Learning Innovation Unit (LIU) at IESE Business School. IESE’s LIU was established in 2013 as a coordinating mechanism for the school´s digital transformation at a school-wide level in. Giuseppe oversaw the implementation of methodologies and technologies related to the evolution of IESE´s teaching and learning practice. As part of this responsibility, Giuseppe also lead IESEOnline, IESE’s online programs division.
Earlier at IESE, Giuseppe was Director of Custom Programs from 2005-2013. During his tenure, the division grew to 15€ million, with clients worldwide. Giuseppe managed a team spread across the school´s centers of Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, New York and Sao Paulo.
Giuseppe holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Georgetown University, a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School and a Doctorate in Education (EdD) from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn CLO Program).
Giuseppe’s doctoral work focused on the use of blended learning in executive leadership development programs. For his work, Giuseppe investigated the practices of 42 senior learning and development professionals in flagship global companies. Giuseppe’s current research interests have to do with the implications of digitalization for organizational culture. Specifically, how the continuous change brought about by digitalization is making developing a learning culture a C-Suite priority, and what is required to foster such a culture. On this topic, Giuseppe delivers keynote addresses at conferences around the world and teaches in multiple executive development programs.
